As I perused StyleCircle, I took notice of this inspiration board compiled by one Adrienne Careccia O’Connor dedicated to an important, but somewhat overlooked element of the wedding day: the hair!

Naturally, this would be the time a bride and her ‘maids would want to look their absolute best and how the hair is styled is crucial to that overall “Man, I look FABULOUS!” feeling. This board highlights some popular hairstyle options; perhaps you can find something to suit your fancy. Enjoy!

…Oh, and this is the 100th post on Chicista Weddings! Everybody celebrate!

Do I expect anyone to honestly follow a list of suggestions down to the letter? No, but I do think that such lists are a great way to get the proverbial ball rolling, especially in respects to planning a wedding. With that in mind, Real Simple has a lovely article on what to serve for four different types of receptions. You may not like everything on the menu, but at the very least it could give you a fresh perspective and some insight on the kind of food to serve depending on your style (and budget). Enjoy!

As of late, I have been anticipating the upcoming nuptials of Kevin Jonas, the often overlooked member of the ridiculously popular band. The Jonas brothers, and his longtime sweetheart Danielle Deleasa. To me, the two make a handsome couple and I cannot wait to see how fantastic their wedding will be. Although I have zero information on the dress, has been nice enough to reveal the answer to the other big question: did Nick or Joe win the coveted title of “Best Man”?

The latest copy of InStyle Weddings (one of the best wedding magazines out there!) features the gorgeous Christina Hendricks, who portrays Joan Holloway on AMC’s mega-hit drama series Mad Men. I already loved her for her body confidence and acting chops, but her interview shows that she’s poised to be a modern-day Hollywood darling. And, she looks fabulous in a wedding gown!

Click here to see her wedding on’s article featuring wedding guest horror stories, while amusing, should be taken as a cautionary warning to brides and guests alike.

Summer may be officially over, but the cheery feeling that the color yellow seems to imply is welcome year-round. Enjoy!
