So, one of my good friends just got engaged and she has put me in charge of her paper materials.

She and her fiancé have a lovely hobby of raising pet fish and a love for all things nautical. She specifically requested that I use the angelfish as a motif for their announcements because they are monogamus (fun fact!).

Take a look at the result below!

I just sent her the proof and she couldn’t be more pleased!

I may just put this up for sale in my Zazzle store. What do you think?

I guess you may be wondering why I have waited the day before the Royal Wedding to make any comment about it…

Truth be told, I’ve simply been very busy.

But, no more! I will be awake at 3 a.m. Eastern Time watching Prince William marry the absolutely stunning Kate Middleton. Just like the rest of you, I am dying to see what this ultra-chic lady wears down the aisle and I look forward to seeing all of the festivities of my generation’s own royal wedding.

Here’s to Prince William and soon-to-be Princess Kate. I wish you nothing but happiness!

I am so happy to hear that the talented wedding gown designer Vera Wang is celebrating her 20th year anniversary. Instead of being trapped in the trends of her day (most of those 1980s gowns were absolute nightmares), Wang dared to be different by creating a modern gown of her own-and creating modern gowns for the modern bride. The world cannot thank her enough for ushering in a new era of style that continues to influence bridal fashion down to this day.

I sifted through my archive last night and I’ve noticed a terrible oversight on my part. Most, if not all, other bridal blogs invite their readers to submit the photos and stories behind their big day…

And I have done no such thing, opting instead to bombard you with my musings and my musings alone.

Shame on me!

So, I would like to offer my apologies-and, an invitation to all of my readers to submit their wedding day photos along with the stories behind them. Feel free to submit a vendors’ list too.

Send all of your wedding stories to’ll be waiting!

I have relaunched my fashion blog!

The current front-runner in the “little white dress” concept also included breathtaking ball gowns, curve-hugging trumpets, and chic bridemaids’ dresses in her collection.

The gowns from Ian Stuart had two elements that I just adored. On the one hand were a few short dresses that reflect the retro-chic vibe that I’ve come to fall in love with. On the other hand were ball gown, trumpet, and A-line frocks that were full of grace, charm, and drama.

Appliqués were the name of the game at Reem Acra this season. The gowns this season were accented with white floral accents, adding a frilly touch to the overall dreamy aesthetic.

In keeping with my love/fixation with retro fashion, I naturally have to feature the latest from Jenny Packham. Her 1930s/1940s glamour aesthetic is just fabulous. I mean, what’s not to love?
